Looking to take an international flight from the U.S.?

Instead of thinking point to point (e.g., Los Angeles to London), find a flight with one stop through an unexpected hub.

It’s a way to save a lot of money.

Smart business class travelers are heading north—to Canada.

They can even save some serious time in the travel process.

Flying from San Diego to Shanghai?

A United ticket costs more than $5300.

But fly Air Canada through Vancouver and the fare drops to $3800.

Plus, the flight time on United is 35 hours, round trip.

But on Air Canada it’s just 31 hours.

You save even more time by clearing U.S. Customs in Vancouver on your return flight.

That means when you land back in the U.S, there are no lines at customs and immigration.

You’re already cleared.

There are many more examples through other Canadian cities like Montreal and Toronto.

So before you head east or west, you might want to first think about heading north.
