Trains are more luxurious than ever.

If you’re looking for a luxury travel experience that’s not the legendary Orient Express between Paris and Venice, there are many more options while you’re abroad.

In South Africa, there’s the Rovos Rail, which runs from South Africa to Namibia and Tanzania. The steam train takes luxury vintage rail cars from Pretoria all the way to Victoria Falls.

If you’re in Japan, you can take the new train called the Shiki-shima. The train features cypress wood bathtubs. You’ll also feel rich enjoying some fine dining from a Michelin-starred onboard chef.

If you find yourself in Europe in June 2018, there’s a new option for Golden Eagle Luxury Trains called the Grand Alpine Express. The Grand Alpine Express’ route goes from Budapest to Venice through the Swiss Alps and Lake Como.
