Travel Tip: Low-Cost Carriers’ Expected Growth Rate
Do you think your plane is crowded now? According to new research from Euromonitor International, travel arrivals will reach 2.4 billion people by 2030.
And China, France and the U.S. will be the main beneficiaries of international arrivals. Low-cost carriers are expected to show a passenger growth rate of 6%, outperforming the legacy carriers.
What does this mean to you if you’re not living in major U.S. gateway cities? You win!
Look for the low-cost carriers to continue the practice of flying between countries using secondary and tertiary airports for long-haul nonstop flights like Hartford, Connecticut to Lyon, France or Nanjing, China to Portland, Oregon.
