Travel Tip: How You Can Download Books When You’re On The Road

If you’re like me, you love to read when you’re traveling.

But more and more of us don’t want to lug heavy books when we’re on the road.

Fortunately, there are lots of downloadable apps for best sellers and popular volumes.

Here are a few that will allow you to read the classics when you’re traveling—and to get a piece of history at the same time.

Project Gutenburg makes public domain titles downloadable—with over 54,000 titles.

Open Library has cataloged every digitally available book in the world, complete with a great selection of classics.

Read.gov is actually a site maintained by the U.S. Library of Congress.

Last but not least, Shakespeare.mit.edu is a site run by the student newspaper at MIT. For the last 24 years, it offers Shakespeare’s complete works, even his poetry.
