It’s almost ski season, but what you pay for lift tickets, ski rentals, and après-ski cocktails might destroy your travel budget.

A number of ski resorts are now throwing in things like a daily free champagne toast, chocolate chip cookies, and even free lift tickets for kids 12 and under.

In Keystone, Colorado, kids can ski for free, and there are no blackout dates.

The Lodge at Vail hands out free s’mores, cookies, and hot cocoa each afternoon.

The Northstar California Resort offers a free champagne toast.

There’s even a free guided historical ski tour in Park City, Utah.

Just don’t forget to negotiate your ski lift tickets in advance.
