What’s worse, a restaurant that insists on reservations but then makes you wait, or a restaurant that refuses all reservations and still makes you wait?
If necessity is the mother of invention, then there may be a few new apps to the rescue.
Consider an app called Allset.
It’s now available in nine U.S. cities and it lets you choose a restaurant, order your meal, pick a time you want to eat, and pay for it.
Then just show up, sit down, and eat.
For those restaurants that refuse to take reservations, there’s now an app called Nowait.
The app simply lets you put your name on the waiting list before you arrive!
Then there’s something called Spotluck.
Once a day, it will give you 30 percent off your meal, but the app picks the restaurant.
