It may still feel like summer out there, but it’s time to start planning for ski season. Here’s how you can get the best deals on 2016 ski passes.

The Epic Ski pass, which covers more than a dozen resorts, is only available while supplies last. Trust me, it goes fast.

That gets you access to spots like Breckenridge, Northstar, and Heavenly resorts.

If that’s more than you need, ask what you can get with just one resort pass.

Prices for ski passes for Alta Ski Area in Utah will go up after September 30. Plus, as part of the Mountain Collective, the Alta pass also gets you 50 percent off day tickets at other resorts like Aspen Snomass and Jackson Hole.

A three-day or more pass at Breckenridge allows you to ski for free at Vail, Beaver Creek, Arapahoe, and Keystone. That’s a lot of bang for your buck if you’ve got the energy for it.
