Amazingly enough, airport food is finally improving, and now it’s even easier to get that food without waiting in line.
San Francisco airport just launched a new app called AirGrub.
You select the restaurant, order and pay for your food, and then schedule a time to pick it up. By the time you arrive at the restaurant, it’s ready to go.
Right now, it’s only available for three restaurants: Perry’s, Napa Farms Market, and Yankee Pier.
You’ll notice airports like Newark, LaGuardia, and Minneapolis have iPads in restaurants, bars, and seating areas at the gate. You can use the tablet to order your meal, and your food is delivered in 15 minutes or less.
If you’re not sure where or what your airport has to offer, check out the app GateGuru. It displays all the dining and retail based on your personal departure or arrival terminal, so you don’t have to waste valuable time finding decent nearby food.
