If you’re afraid of your long-awaited vacation getting rained out, you may want some kind of guarantee. But don’t forget to read the fine print.
Priceline.com is offering a limited summer special with a guaranteed refund if it rains half an inch or more during your trip.
The warranty is free, but keep in mind blackout dates and locations do apply.
For example, mid-July trips to London, Cape Cod and Paris aren’t covered.
The all-inclusive resort chain SuperClubs is offering a credit voucher equal to that day’s room value for every day the sun doesn’t shine.
But, here’s the caveat: This offer only applies at their Jamaica, Curacao and Dominican Republic resorts—not in the Bahamas, Brazil and some other areas.
The Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale also jumped on the bandwagon, offering a $50 resort credit, if there is a 25 percent or greater chance of rain.
