If you’re like me, you find airplane food to be an oxymoron, and you try to avoid it at all costs.

And that’s presuming you’re on a flight that actually serves food.

But slowly a few airlines are trying to do something about it.

United Airlines is now working with celebrity chefs to create onboard menus that follow major fine dining restaurant menus.

They’re even trying to develop a farm-to-tray-table experience.

On select international flights, United is now introducing special Thai and Indian dishes.

Delta is now partnering with legendary restaurateur Danny Meyer in attempt to elevate their airline food offerings.

And if you’re really looking for better food at 35,000 feet, you might want to check out a new website called InflightFeed.com.

What these guys do is give real time reviews on just about every airline and on every route and on every flight, down to whether or not they put olives in their salads.

More often than not, the airlines don’t serve food at all.
