Sometimes the hardest part of any journey is getting to and from the airport, and mass transit options remain few and far between. But a growing number of U.S. airports now have direct train connections into the city right from the terminal.

In Atlanta, MARTA picks you up inside the terminal and drops you downtown in 20 minutes for $2.50.

In Chicago, both O’Hare and Midway connect directly to the L train, downtown in about 25 minutes for $5 or less.

In Philadelphia, SEPTA’s Airport Line runs from every terminal to Center City for $6.50 on weekdays, less on weekends.

And in Minneapolis, the Metro Blue Line connects both terminals to downtown in 35 minutes.
