2025 was one hot summer, and with global warming, 2026 might get even hotter. One recent survey revealed that as temperatures rise, many travelers are choosing cooler destinations.

This past year, Norway saw a 27% increase in visitors. Canada was up 25%, Scotland saw 21% more people, and Ireland welcomed 17% more visitors. The coolest destination, literally, for summer travelers was Iceland, with a 30% increase in visitors.

Looking ahead to 2026, early indications suggest the trend will continue, with Greenland expecting a record number of travelers.
