Which Countries Welcome Americans the Most?

It’s a continuing fear among travelers that they’ll be going to countries that don’t like Americans.

But the latest study from the Pew Research Center shows that a number of countries don’t just tolerate American visitors; they openly welcome them.

Scoring high in Europe: Poland, where 93% of residents hold positive opinions of Americans. The U.S. receives the most favorable ratings from the citizens of Israel, followed by Brazil at 84% and South Korea at 82%.

One possible surprise: Nigeria, where 74% of folks there are not only positive, they’re fascinated about Americans, but said they want to embrace them and share their rich cultural heritage.
