The Essentials
More Hotels Now Offer Daytime Stays For Travelers
A growing number of hotels is now allowing travelers to rent rooms by the hour during the day.
We’re not talking about the notorious no-tell motels.
Instead, apps like Dayuse and BYHOURS feature a large number of listings in every major city and resort area, not just in the U.S. but worldwide.
This is especially helpful for travelers in transit with long layovers between flights. These are stays that don’t include an overnight and are typically under six hours.
It’s found revenue for the hotels, and for travelers, and it’s a less expensive way to shower, lounge by the pool, or even take a much-needed nap. And these aren’t roadside motels, but premium three and four-star hotels.
