Most Turbulent Air Routes in the World

If you’ve noticed more incidents of turbulence on your flights, you’re not imagining things.

 

In fact, there are now ratings for the most turbulent air routes in the world.

 

The rankings analyzed more than 150,000 long-haul flights, looking for intensity of turbulence at any given spot along a route.

 

The 1,100 mile route between Santiago, Chile and Santa Cruz, Bolivia is the most turbulent.

 

Also high on the list is Milan to Geneva. And in the US, it’s Nashville to Raleigh-Durham; Charlotte to Pittsburgh; New York to Portland, Maine; and Denver to Puerto Vallarta.
