Forewarned is forearmed, and the list of the most dangerous countries to visit in 2024 is now out. The riskiest nations are South Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and the Central African Republic.
Included as part of the overall danger assessment is not just personal safety, but medical services, current conflicts, and even the dangers of climate change, as rising temperatures around the world could be tied to increased health risks.
The countries with the highest medical risks are Iraq, North Korea, the Palestinian territories, Haiti, Burundi and Sierra Leone.
And the safest countries are all in Europe: Denmark, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Iceland and Norway.
