How much do you depend on online reviews by others when making your travel choices? You might want to think again.

According to the latest report by Tripadvisor, at least one million reviews on its site last year were fake.

While that represents a little more than just 3% of all reviews, it’s still a significant number. One solution is to look at the wording in these reviews. If you count more than three words that end with the letters “st” — best, greatest, most, loveliest — in any one sentence, it’s a red flag.
