For many of us when we travel, connectivity is everything, but the minute you travel overseas, your cell phone bill can explode.
Every company now offers an international plan, but it varies wildly and it really depends not just on how many days you’ll be traveling on one trip, but how many trips each year you might be taking.
Are you traveling for a couple of days?
AT&T offers a day pass for only $10, which includes unlimited calls to more than 100 countries, unlimited texts and access to your data.
Verizon’s plan covers more than 185 countries. And its travel pass only charges you for usage abroad. So if you’re in and out of the country a lot, there’s no need to call the phone company every time you need to add or remove it.
For very frequent travelers, T-Mobile has very wide coverage with more than 200 countries in its plan.
And for total Type A’s like me, T-Mobile even has a plan that offers unlimited WiFi on your flight. For as low as $43 a month.
And Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile now even offer cruise ship deals. And that can represent serious savings when you’re out at sea.
