Food and Drinks to Avoid on Airplanes

There is nothing worse than getting on a plane and seeing someone pull out a bag of fast food fries. The smell of grease lingers through the entire flight.

Other examples of bad plane fare are tea and coffee from the beverage cart. Most planes’ water tanks are not cleaned often and can be laden with bacteria. The water used to brew the tea and coffee is rarely hot enough to kill germs.

Another food that you might want to skip is the yogurt cup. The changing altitude and pressure causes foil to expand and if you open it mid-flight, you’re risking a small explosion and a big mess. If you’re set on getting your probiotics on the plane, open your yogurt before takeoff.
