This September, the Category 5 storm Hurricane Irma devastated Florida and left over 75,000 people seeking refuge, clothing, and food. While the storm—and the corresponding news coverage—has blown over, the affected areas are still in recovery mode. In addition to donating time or resources through local organizations like Feeding Florida, OneBlood, or Best Friends (an organization helping animals affected by the storm), one of the best ways you can help areas recover is by doing what some of us do best—travel there.
