The top five states were:

1. Nevada

2. South Dakota

3. Colorado

4. North Dakota

5. New York

Wyoming came in at number six with the most movie theaters per 100,000 residents.

1. Mississippi

2. West Virginia

3. Alabama

4. Kentucky

5. Arkansas

One of the key metrics measured was the most performing arts theaters per capita. Three states tied for number one: Alaska, New York, and Vermont.

What about the best access to national parks? Alaska came in first, followed by Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and New Mexico.

The worst? Indiana, followed by Illinois, Connecticut, Texas, and Wisconsin.
