Travel Tip: Airports Include More Services for Traveling Families
Most airports have never been known to provide real, common sense services for travelers.
But now, a number of them are coming to their senses.
Many airports now offer very thoughtful places to walk your dogs between flights.
Other airports have play areas for children that allow them to be entertained and play—safely.
At Washington Dulles International Airport, the new play area features an aviation theme, complete with a miniature control tower.
One caution: it’s only for parent-supervised children under the age of 12.
In Florida, Miami International Airport now has eight standalone lactation stations for nursing moms.
There are four- by eight-foot rooms, with plenty of space for mothers, their babies, and even their other kids.
MIA is now the fifteenth airport to install these much-needed rooms.
