Travel Tip: The U.S. Dollar is Still Strong Worldwide

moneyThe U.S. Dollar has been strong since last summer, and that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.

The Euro just neared an eight-month low against the U.S. Dollar.

In South Africa, the Rand’s value has been collapsing.

Not long ago, it was nine South African Rand to one U.S. Dollar. Today it’s close to 16.

That is a huge drop, making South Africa a buyer’s market for U.S. travelers.

Most recently, the newly elected president in Argentina announced he was eliminating currency controls. It created an almost immediate currency devaluation.

The Peso was 9.8 to the dollar. Now it’s 13.

With exchange rates like that, there’s never been a better time to pack your empty bags and head to Europe, South Africa, or Argentina. Time to do your Christmas shopping very early.
