Who are the happiest people in the world?

Well, I’m happy to report that the world happiness report is in, and the U.S. didn’t fare so well. We ranked 15th.

Who beat us in the happiness survey? How about our neighbors to the north? Canadians were ranked fifth happiest in the world.

The report issues a score on a scale of 0 to 10 based on everything from health and life expectancy to generosity, corruption, and income.

The happiest country? Switzerland…followed by Iceland, Denmark, and Norway. They seem happy, but very cold. Hopefully they’re warmly dressed.

Researchers also analyzed how happiness might have been affected by the global economic downturn.

Greeks? Not happy, despite the financial bailout. Not surprisingly, at the low end of the happiness scale…Syria.
