Now that Cuban travel regulations have been relaxed, everyone is scrambling to do business there.

The first thing I predicted is happening: cruise ships, which are essentially floating hotels that require very little ground infrastructure, are among the first to set up shop.

Carnival Corporation has gotten approval from the U.S. Treasury Department to sail its new Fathom brand to Cuba. This will combine cruises with voluntourism, so it falls into the category of cultural and humanitarian travel. It’s not a done deal, but they’re looking to sail as early as 2016.

MSC Cruises will start sailing from Havana this year, and offer shore excursions through a company called Cubancan.

If you’d prefer to stay on land, Apple Vacations has partnered with Cuba Travel Services to offer packaged tours to Cuba.

Another way to get there is through JetBlue—it’s the first major U.S airline to offer weekly charter flights to Cuba.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Try to visit Cuba BKFC—before Kentucky Fried Chicken and all the other U.S. franchises set up shop there. It’s not a matter of whether that will happen, but when.
