As the weather warms up, it’s time to look for summer travel deals. The hotter the destination, the more likely you are to find summer discounts.

Scottsdale, Arizona, drops its hotel rates as much as 60 percent between May and August. What’s the trick? Start your day early in the morning and stay indoors during the afternoon.

Rates at the Saguaro Scottsdale and the FireSky Resort & Spa start at $109 a night, and both resorts will throw in a pitcher of margaritas by the pool.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, goes on sale in the summer with two-for-one deals. That includes discounts on swamp safaris, snorkeling, and water taxis. You can combine that with city-wide hotel deals, which come with $100 in resort credit and a $25 gift card for two-night minimum stays.

Plus, you can find deals all over Las Vegas.

At Bally’s, $315 will get you two nights’ accommodations, two tickets to a show, and unlimited trips to the buffet through July 1. Any other time of year that would cost twice as much a la carte.
