The next time you find yourself bored in Delaware, do yourself a favor and check out UDairy Creamery, the official ice cream of the University of Delaware.

Within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, UDairy takes an educated approach to creating ice cream concoctions.

UDairy serves its customers both from its store on campus as well as from its Moo Mobile, a full-sized ice cream truck.

Founded on science, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, the Creamery encourages discovery learning, with University students involved in every aspect of making and selling the ice cream.

The Creamery intends to communicate to its students the principles of dairy production, food science and safety, environmentally sound agriculture, business management, and finance.

Udairy promotes a from-the-cow-to-the-cone production model, utilizing ingredients strictly from the University’s 350-acre farm, with over 100 cows.

UDairy’s ice cream is more than just smart, it’s also delicious.

The Creamery offers tons of unique flavors and gives more than generous portions.

Be sure to try the All Nighter, winner of the local Blue Hen flavor contest. Made with coffee ice cream, cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate fudge, it’s sure to keep you awake all night, prouder than ever to be a UD Blue Hen.

Check out other ice cream shops around the country you can visit for National Ice Cream Month.
