Coachella begins today, unofficially kicking off summer music festival season. While it’s likely that at least one of your favorite bands is playing at Coachella, you may not live nearby or can’t afford the $375 ticket. But there are plenty of other music festivals around the country you can visit instead. Here are five festival options beyond Coachella:
Governor’s Ball

Dates: June 6-8, 2014
Details: Every year, the Governor’s Ball brings in a long list of headliners. This year they have some of the biggest names, including: OutKast, Jack White, The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, The Head and The Heart, and Skrillex. This unique, three-day festival offers music lovers endless forms of entertainment and food. In between seeing your favorite bands, you can visit free water refill stations, photo booths, art installations, and lawn games like life-size Connect Four.
