Screen Shot 2013-12-09 at 4.31.58 PMNormally, when you head over to baggage claim, your main hope is that your luggage is there. Well, Canadian airline WestJet decided to do one better. In a publicity stunt, the airline decided to create its own Christmas miracle.

Inspired by the poem “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,” the airline set about making a Christmas dreams come true for a flight full of travelers. At Toronto Pearson International and John C. Munro Hamilton International, the airline put Santa in a video screen. While passengers scanned their boarding pass and talked to Santa, the airline was carefully taking notes.

Airline employees ran to the mall to stock up on toys, sporting goods, new smart phones, big screen televisions and whatever passengers could dream. Upon landing in Calgary International Airport, down from baggage claim came a Christmas present for every passenger.

Not only is the end result an amusing soon-to-be-viral video, it’s also well-intentioned. Once the video reaches 200,000 views, WestJet Cares for Kids foundation will donate flights to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Well played, WestJet. Watch the video here to see the Christmas miracle unfold.

Does this video fill you with the holiday spirit or just make you miserable for your upcoming holiday flights that will most likely end without presents? Santas and Scrooges, share your thoughts in the comments.
