8. The College Town/Big City Mix
Yes Boston, or more specifically Cambridge, is home to American’s oldest university–Harvard. The city and its surrounding area are also home to more than 250,000 students and more than 100 colleges and universities. The perk of being surrounded by campuses means increased art and cultural offerings, some of the country’s top medical services, scientific innovation, cheap eats and state-of-the-art facilities often open to the public.
