3. Robert-Houdin’s Clock
Steve Cohen is back at Salon de Magie in Ohio holding one of the most valuable magic objects–a clock built by Robert-Houdin, who was originally a watch and clock maker before he transferred his skills to magic.
Known as the mystery clock, the face of the clock and the pilar are pure glass. At the center of the clock is the hand that still moves and keeps perfect time.
In addition to being one of the most famous magicians and clock makers of his time, Robert-Houdin inspired Houdini (aka Erich Weiss) to change his name to Houdini, which means “like Houdin” in Italian.
