4. Edinburgh Farmers’ Market, Edinburgh, Scottland
The Edinburgh Farmers’ Market in Scotland definitely has the most dramatic location of any farmers’ market: It’s located on Castle Terrace, with an imposing Edinburgh Castle in the background. The market attracts close to 60 stallholders, the majority of whom grow the specialty items they sell–free range eggs to organic milk. Cold-pressed grape seed oil, artisan pretzels and handbags made of wild Scottish deer-skin are all souvenir options.
