As you can image, the tropical climate in Hawaii’s Big Island makes for fertile grounds, and the bustling Hilo Farmers Market has more than 200 vendors selling their products every Wednesday and Saturday year-round. In addition to predictable tropical fruits like coconuts and pineapple, you’ll be able to find more exotic options like sugar apples, lychees and Buddha’s Hand–all of which look more like underwater creatures than edible fruit.
