The Intimate Wedding

The Inn at Valley Farms is a 105-acre organic farm and B&B hosting intimate events for up to 75 guests in bucolic New Hampshire. Their circular perennial garden is typically where ceremonies are held. Additionally, there is a three-story 100 year-old post and beam barn available for use as a ceremony site in the case of inclement weather.

What I especially love about this location is the access to all of the local purveyors of natural and organic food from sustainable farming. You and your children can taste hand-made ice cream or fresh fruits straight from the orchard. The town boasts a world renown chocolatier, artisan bread bakers, award winning cheese makers as well as a popular winery. You can purchase pasture-raised meats right from the Inn’s sustainable farm and then all of your choices can be incorporated into your wedding day meal celebration. The venue sleeps up to 28 guests with additional lodging nearby.  Be sure to ask for Jackie the innkeeper/owner.

The Green Wedding

Bunker Hill Winery located in Duette, Florida is an affordable and Green Environmentally Friendly Winery. Perfect for teaching your family the finer points of reduce, reuse and recycle along with engaging in your wedding, vow renewal or commitment ceremony.

For as little as $100, guests can watch you tie (or re-tie) the knot under a beautifully handcrafted 100% Recycled Wine Bottle “Wedding Arch” in the heart of the vineyard. This fee includes an officiate for the ceremony, a bottle of wine (your choice) for the Bride & Groom, a photo taken under the wedding arch, and the names and date of the ceremony engraved on a wine bottle in the wedding arch, that lasts forever. The ceremony can also take place under the oak trees, the dock on the pond or anywhere you’d like on the 23 acres owned by the winery.  The property also features the Water Garden Farm, perfect for a reception or honeymoon! This two bedroom, two-bath home with two garden ponds on four acres can be rented for $500 including the ceremony fee mentioned above. Separate rental is $80/night.
