Panama’s Pearl Islands Continued

Partly known as the only location to serve as a set for two seasons of CBS’s Survivor, the Pearl Islands are also the only place in the world where Humpback whales from the northern and southern hemispheres make a splash. Home to over 30 species of cetaceans (dolphins and whales), you can catch dolphins and whales interacting and encounter spotted dolphins playing along the boats.

Aside from shopping for pearls and looking out for reality shows, the wildlife is worth visiting. Pacheca Island, a roost spot for frigate birds, is only part of a list of islands known for incredible birds. Taking advantage of Panama’s abundant waters, deep Sea fishing fans folk to Isla San Jose where the ocean floor drops over 9000 feet.
