While attempts to take down airliners hog headlines in the wake of yet another high-profile terrorist attack on travelers, it’s a good time to re-examine the overall security of the travel industry.
One area of security that has often seemed to get far less attention than planes is hotel security, despite the fact that hotel bombings have risen sharply since September 11, 2001.
While hotels on American soil have thus far been spared, American-branded hotels abroad have suffered multiple attacks over the past decade.
