The Essentials

New Airports Around the World

In the US, we haven’t seen a truly new airport in nearly 30 years, and that was Denver back in 1995.

But there are a number of new airports opening all around the world. There’s the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum, Mexico.

And airlines ranging from American, Delta, United, JetBlue and Spirit will all start service there.

In Cambodia, there’s a new airport in Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat. That means it can now handle long haul non-stop international flights.

It just started service from the brand new Red Sea Airport in Saudi Arabia.

And this summer, Southern Italy becomes more accessible with a new airport on the Amalfi Coast.
