International Travel Sites and Fees

These days, when it comes to international travel to favorite sites, it could be the home of the brave and the land of the fee.

Whether it’s congestion pricing in London, a fee to see some of the usual suspect sites in Rome, a fee to even be in Venice, there are other fees as well.

There’s a new $13 charge for climbing Japan’s Mount Fuji, which is often congested, and the country just hiked tourist rail passes by 70%.

Want to visit the Plaza de Espana square in Seville, Spain? Be prepared to pay an entrance fee.

And this summer, just in time for the Olympics in Paris, the metro just doubled prices, and the Louvre increased ticket prices by a third.
