Tracie took this photo in Kauai, and writes: “In Hawai’i, its customary to leave offerings to honor the people, the ocean and the land. I had seen these flowers nestled in the rocks for a few days along a north shore surf break on Kauai. I asked a local surfer if he knew what it was, and it turns out the flowers were left in honor of a surfer who lost his life there. I thought it was a beautiful testament to his memory.”
