The Essentials
Spring Training Is the Travel Bargain of the Season
It happens every spring. Smart travelers, and baseball fans head to Arizona or Florida to chase their favorite teams during spring training. And one compelling reason, it’s a much better deal than regular season tickets.
In Glendale Arizona, at Camelback Ranch — home of the Dodgers and White Sox — mini three game packages are as low as $82 per game for a family of three, compared to as much as $430 for just one game at Dodger Stadium.
Peoria Sportsplex houses the Padres and Mariners and early access stadium tours are $25 per person, with game tickets for both teams around $110 total for a family of three, regular season prices run about 150 for the Padres and 120 for the Mariners.
In West Palm Beach, the Astros and Nationals flex plan offers three games between both teams for about $60 per game for a family of three.
Spring training is the clear win. For closer views, a more personal fan experience, and more money left over for food and drinks.
