While some international airfares are dropping, that’s not the case for most business class airfares.

Recently a Delta Airlines business class ticket from Atlanta to South Africa was as much as $16,000. That’s not a ticket, that’s a compact car!

So, are there any business class tickets that are affordable? The answer, a qualified yes, if you’re flying nonstop, look at some smaller airlines.

Norse, La Compagnie, and Condor. They have decent business class seats at about half the cost of the major international carriers.

If it’s a business class flight with a stop, then there’s the old reliable Icelandair. You’ll stop en route in Reykjavik, but the turnaround time is minimal between connections, and well worth the price.
