America’s Most Walkable and Accessible Cities
There’s new research out on the most walkable cities in America with a focus on accessibility.
The winner is Nashville, Tennessee. Fifty percent of the accessible attractions are wheelchair accessible, and 18% of the trails are accessible, followed by Washington D.C., Louisville Kentucky, San Francisco, and New York.
And for pure walkability, Washington D.C. and Nashville scored the highest.
Louisville has the highest percentage of wheelchair accessible attractions, 71%.
And Detroit stands out as America’s most accessible city, 100% of its rail stations are accessible for people with mobility challenges.
