Dangerous U.S. Highways to Avoid This Holiday Season
A recent study has ranked the top 10 most dangerous U.S. highways, just in time for holiday travel.
The U.S. highway with the highest fatal crash count? Interstate 10, which spans 2,400 miles from California to Florida, followed by I-95, the North-South interstate crossing 15 states from Maine to Florida.
Coming in third most dangerous is the James K. Polk Memorial Highway, also known as Interstate 40, which has the second-worst quality of roads.
And one of the deadliest east-west highways in the U.S. is Interstate 20, which crosses Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
