State Parks You Can Still Visit During the Government Shutdown

4. Redwoods in a State Park
The Big Basin Redwoods State Park has the exact same scenery as the Redwood National Park, and better yet, it’s located in the same state of California! You will still be able to walk through the trails surrounded by plenty of green and a peaceful atmosphere. Established in 1902, the Big Basin is California’s oldest state park with 80 miles worth of hiking trails.
