Airport Wait Times: Tools to Help You Plan Ahead
These days, long airport waits — either for TSA security lines or for delayed or canceled flights — have become almost expected.
But there are some tools you can use to at least alert you to current and real wait times, or at least allow you to come up with a Plan B.
Download the MyTSA app, available on iOS and Google Play, because it gives you real-time wait times at individual airports.
If you use an iPhone, Flighty is a helpful tool for tracking ground conditions.
And there’s the iFly app for security updates at hundreds of airports worldwide.
Also helpful is a website called Qsensor, which tracks live wait times at 141 airports worldwide.
Don’t forget that more than 60 U.S. airports offer their own app, with direct up-to-the-second updates.
