The century-old Po Lin Monastery, located on Lantau Island, is an architectural marvel. It’s home to 25 Buddhist monks, spending most of their time in prayer. But if you go early in the morning, you might be invited to meditate with them, and immerse yourself in much deeper thought and reflection. And it becomes not just a tourist photo op, but a meaningful, spiritual experience that also sheds a new, different and immersive light on the island, its culture and its spirit of hospitality.
