Fort Ricasoli was built in the 17th century by the Knights of St. John to defend Malta’s Grand Harbour. Today, it’s been transformed into the ultimate studio backlot, for blockbuster films like Gladiator, and so many others. In fact, many classic movies have used Malta as their backdrop, thanks to the archipelago’s unique geography and architecture. HIDDEN MALTA debuts on public television in November.
