The Essentials
Pet Airlines Are Here
How much do you love your dog or cat?
If you’re traveling by air and want to bring them along, there are now a number of pricey alternatives: airlines just for them.
A company called RetrievAir flies domestic routes for canines and felines across the U.S., offering mid-flight toy service and treats.
Fares start at $249 for routes like Dallas to Denver.
BARK Air takes things further, with bone broth service, doggy spa treatments, and even a veterinarian tech on board, just in case, with prices starting at $6,575 one-way.
Flying overseas? There’s K9 JETS, with routes to Europe and the Middle East, and an emphasis on comfort, with tickets starting near $8,000. Clearly, an indication that the pets come first.
