A growing number of impressive theater districts in cities across America now make it possible to see Broadway plays and musicals without going to… Broadway — often at a fraction of the price.

There’s Playhouse Square in Cleveland — the biggest performing arts district outside of Broadway. There’s the Jupiter Theatre in Florida, which has a full run of top plays and musicals throughout 2025.

In Minneapolis, there’s the Guthrie Theater with a production of Cabaret that extends through the rest of the summer. At the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, there are tours of Some Like It Hot and Moulin Rouge.

Near San Diego, nearly half the original productions launched at the La Jolla Playhouse made their way to Broadway.
