In case you were wondering, the latest figures from the United Nations and the Gallup Poll have been released on the happiest countries in the world.
A total of 140 countries are ranked based on quality of life evaluations, GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and perceptions of corruption.
The country taking the number one spot for the last eight years? Finland. Coming in second is Denmark, followed by Iceland and Sweden. Also in the top 20 happy countries: Norway, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.
The United States earned its lowest ranking yet, dropping to number 24. And at the bottom of the list, perhaps unsurprisingly: Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Lebanon.
